Well, the real problem I ran into is that I don't think I'll be able to raise my engine cover enough to hide the NXL fuel rails without running into interference with my aftermarket hood even those it's domed. I think I'd have issues back by the windshield cowl and I'm just not going to give up that carbon fiber engine cover. I've had it on the car for a four years now and I can't bring myself to part with it. Besides, with the <100 shots I'm planning to run, I don't really need a direct port system. It would be nice, but I'm told it's not critical in my situation.

If you are already at 402 HP, then I'd think about a fuel system upgrade. I personally am at 403 RWHP, and at a 12.7 a/f ratio, I'm at about 79% on my factory injectors... if you are looking to add dry to that, I'm thinking that it's gonna be pushing on the factory injectors more then I would want to, and if you are going wet, then I'd add at least a fuel pump.
I look at it this way....
Fuel pump with install >600 dollars
melted piston and other assorted damage due to lean < 7000 dollars
( sure stock motor could be had cheaper then that, but by the time you install it.. and add that fuel system stuff you should have in the first place....... not to mention ya always go bigger which is always more $$ )
My .02
On another note.... Dave, did you get my p.m.?

Try this first before installing new fuel pump. With a wideband, make sure your OEM fuel pump will deliver the optimum 11.7-12.2 air fuel ratio while spraying. You may have to change fuel jets to achieve this goal.

Example Jet sheet for single nozzle 01'-02' Camaro, Firebird NX kit:
