Default Nitrous in Conjunction with a Turbo

Is this not a common path? I know import guys do it to decrease turbo lag, but I'm talking more than a 50 shot, maybe a 150 or 200 shot in conjunction with a turbo that already is making 800 horsepower..

With 800 hp, your really pushing the mark, but spraying another 50 - 100 with a nice tune will give you another few 10th's off of your et... Good luck, let us know what you deside..

I say if you have to spray a forced induction motor or vice versa, you are not making the power you should be. There should only be need for 1 power adder.

Yes, but there are added benefite for doing two in conjustion. NOS acts as a secondary cooler, and gives you an added boost.

OK, I understand that, but keep in mind a duoble power adder is not allowed in ANY racing series.

What??? I beg to differ with you Mike but multipule power adders are allowed in the extreme/outlaw classes. Thunder had a class last year at the shoot out for dual power adders.

Joe most of the time nitrous is used on large turbo applications to spool the turbo quickly while staged and I've seen some nitrous used to cool the air charge on turbo/SC applications also.

5.9.0 Power Adders:
Power adders such as nitrous, supercharging, turbocharging are permitted.
Entries may only use one type of power adder.

True,Alot of classes will not allow two power adders. However running two power adders is not rare.As stated above nitrous not only acts as a cooling agent it is used in FI applications to spool up and get up on the brake Faster.
