I like having a window switch so I know it will not turn on at too low of RPM. It is less likely to happen on an auto but not impossible. The best safety feature I have on mine in my opinion is the wide band. If it goes lean I'll shutdown.

what all does it take/cost to get a wide band?

i have a FPSS, WOT, ram chargers tuner, didn't know if wide band is something i would need

See if TNT says to pull timing on your car. NX said to pull 2 degrees for every 50 HP shot on my car. The timing tuner will do this without affecting timing when not spraying. It also has the window switch that you should run. And yes on the fuel pressure safety switch. Don't forget a WOT switch. These will make it safer but are not fool proof and will not save your motor if the nitrous solenoid fails to close or the fuel solenoid fails to open.

If you want to be safe, code 4 has the right idea with a wideband. But I am thinking if it goes lean for any reason you better be looking right at it and then I'm not sure you can react fast enough.

I am looking into a wideband from Dyno Jet that can be set up to to shut the nitrous down if it goes lean. It is around $500.00, but what would a motor cost you?

Remember not to spray with the traction control on.

A FPSS is always a good thing to have

I would go with a wide band also - Innovate is definetely on the top of their game.

Here is a stand alone LC-1 Innovate Wideband with a Dynotune Round guage for $299 complete!

or with a square gauge for $279!

thats cool, but like he said above, unless you look at it and react quickly enough, your still in trouble

did someone say to put a FPSS on the nitrous selonoid also?

Innovate here, and love it for tuning and logging.
On the fpss, a thread a couple days ago we were talking about adding one to the output side of the fuel solenoid. That way if fuel noid opens and press is sensed then the n2o noid will open (ground for n2o noid). Best for safety, with additional benifit of minimizing lean spike or maybe eliminating it all together. Second fpss must be set at a lower psi than the one before fuel noid. One is for fuel sys press and one is to make sure fuel noid opens.
Robert

PS, Dean you get your other links working (diff site)?

WOT switch, and a low fuel pressure cut off switch will be a good added feature..

These cannot do that but we have a WOT nitrous shutdown switch in the works which will shut the nitrous off at a dialed in Air/Fuel ratio. It will work with narrow band and wideband! Stay tuned!
