Default purge on the radiator?

Has anyone purged onto the radiator that would give it (the engine) a cooling affect i would imagine.. how did that affect your car? if its not good to purge on the radiator where else could you mount the the purge nozzels in the engine bay.. i wouldn't want to purge to show off that i have nitrous so some secret purge hints or tips would be cool.. i dont have an f-body (yet) but is definatly something im looking at as a next car

I had thought the same question. I'm sure it would work to some degree. I just put my purge in the old fashioned place in back of the hood.

I do notice that after I spray though, my engine coolant temp goes down about 10 degrees or so.

your trying to add air to a pressurized system...I'm not sure it would work

plus you'd create an air pocket which is bad

I thought he meant purging by spraying the radiator, not spraying in the radiator.

i have thought about this as well, why waste it when it could serve a dual purpose. couldnt hurt anything but im not sure a single purge would be enough to make a difference

I remember reading about people purging it onto their oil pan and cooling off the oil a little, this was on some serious drag cars also, I don't think they were even running radiators. I say go for it its not gonna hurt anything, just make sure your fan is off or the nitrous is spraying with the fan not against it.

Purge into the engine via the intake air duct.

wouldnt this be damn near spraying the car, at some point nitrous will go through the purge. if it was in your intake ducting it would be a dry kit...

The effective way for spraying is in to the intercooler for turbo car.

has it done anything for you, i could hide my purge real well if this works. i had thought of this before but did not do it because i thought it would just be an uncontroled dry shot. any cooling affect?

No cooling effect. It just works as a purge, and with a dry system doesn't require any extra hardware at all... simple & easy and nobody sees it.

yea i figured spraying onto an intercooler would have sme nice results

if i was to go with nitrous on any car i would at least purge somewhere in the engine or the radiator as a cooling affect and not to show it off.. a dry kit purging isnt even nesecary(sp?) is it. its if you go with a wet set up youd want to purge?

No, purge has nothing to do with running fuel or not, so it's the same with wet or dry systems.
FYI, momentary cooling of a purge isn't going to make any difference because it only soaks up a relatively small amount of heat.
