Notice the wet ground in this picture? The humidity played a huge role in why the purge was so high.

You don't need a huge solenoid and line to get a big plume when purging. The biggest and tallest plumes I have seen have been from small solenoids (our standard purge solenoid or something comparable). Flaring the end of the purge line helps, but humidity is the biggest key to have a big plume. It has already been mentioned but I will repeat it, in the picture you'll notice that it is wet outside like it had just rained (ie: lots of humidity). That is probably the reason for such a large plume.

 

Oh, of course humidity plays a HUGE factor!!

BUT there is a way to help out the purge a bit...IE big brake line and such....

You cant tell me that a 093 solenoid will not produce a bigger nitrous plumb than a 063 solenoid...

I was merely stating what I have seen. It does not take the biggest baddest solenoid to make a huge plume. Granted, a larger solenoid is going to release more nitrous (duh), but it doesn't have to be a big solenoid to get a big plume. If you want to see some unreal looking purges just take a look at some of the King of the Hill racers. A few of them use Super Shark solenoids for their purge and waste 1/2 of a 15lb bottle just purging, but it looks cool having a 25-30ft purge. But it just isn't practical on the street.

ok so i have another question...if i bought the "master blaster" and a 10lbs bottle, i would have show quality purge (huge plume snow machine)??? extra helpers would be Bottle heaters and such of course....

 

I say it doesn't amtter the size of the noid if you are using the same size line on the outlet side. now big noid big line diff story. I have used a 4an line b4 strait off the bottle and have done better ones with a small noid and brake line.

 

If you want a big solenoid and big line you should call Dave and ask him about his new "Super Dooper Big Show" purge kit , and get a 15lb. bottle for it cause you will need it....

MuscleHud- The "Super Dooper Big Show" is kinda a joke between Dave and I, but he said he would sell it if people wanted it. It consists of using a NX Super Shark solenoid (as far as I know it is the biggest solenoid on the market). It is capable of supporting 1200hp, so it definately flows a ton of nitrous. It also has two outlets on it so you can run a dual vent sent up. You would probably want to use 1/4 stainless for the vent tube and flair the end of it. I'm gonna make a Super Super Duper Biggy Show kit using a 20 gallon tank and 1/2 inch line...and it will suprise the heck out of the people in the stands...





...when it sprays water all over them! ...just messing...it's a "cool" idea though for these hot summers!

 

purges 8.8lbs in 10 seconds????????? holy crap thats insane!!! im gonna need a bigger bottle lol cuz a ten lbs bottle wont be enuf! that MAY be a little much...but what the hell lol YES awesome...cant wait to see the price!

 

what size noid is this?? jw and is there any pics or vids of the super dooper big show purge??? kinda would like an idea of what im getting into lol trying to decide...8.8lbs in 10 sec is a lot of dough for one show but it sounds like its worth it! if i like the pics and the price is right ill buy it right here and now
