Default WOT switch and button?

Can you have a WOT Switch and a button to spray whenever you want to? Can you deactivate the WOT switch and just use the button?

Thanks,
Justin

i dont even have a wot switch, i just have a button. I did it like that so if i spin off the launch i can still stay full throttle but just let off of the spray. so far so good with this setup....... almost 3 years like this.

it's how i do mine. i have a WOT switch and use the power switch to activate right after launching. if i spin, i just turn the power off. after i make the run, i let off the pedal which deactivates the system. the WOT switch just completes the circuit is all.

If your drag racing to win then consistancy is the key and with these set-ups you'll never be in the winners circle. Imo, just get a window sw and set it up for your traction and power and/or dual stg and first gear lock out. running without at least a wot sw is rather foolish imo.

You could run the two in line with eachother. That way if you start to spin you can just let go of the button and stay full throttle. And if you are not at full throttle, it won't let you spray untill you are. You do not want to spray at partial throttle especialy with a wet kit because the N2O/Fuel mixture will smack againts your closed throttle blades which will block it's clean flow threw the intake. Get a window switch too. It will make life safer and easier for you. Instead of trying to pay attention to when you can activate your spray, pay attention to racing and let the window switch watch the RPM's for you. It eases up your work load.

You didn't say if it was A4 or M6... a window switch is a must for M6.
Spray through a missed shift or on the rev limiter and kiss it goodbye.

that will be three switches you will have. too much redundancy going on. use the power switch just like a button.

Whenever somebody wants a buttom when I install it. I wire it like this.

Power --------WOT ----T-------button---------T------relay

With the T being connected to a SPST switch, to bypass the button.

That is what I have been doing for hte past 2yrs and it works like a charm. I used my extra cig lighter to plug in my coil cord and that is where my WOT signal comes from when I push the button. There is no longer 12 volts there just used for nitrous.

another reason not to use a button, if you get into trouble you are more likely to pull your foot off the throttle then move your thumb off that botton on the wheel.. If you want a button just wire in series then you can be at wot no nitrous push the button you got it, left off the gas its off again.... KInda fun if you are playing with someone buy a nose.
