In the 3rd picture down the nitrous selenoid is touching a metal piece coming up from the intake where something is to be mounted?

Easy. The Nitrous solenoids should be feeding the distribution blocks out the bottom of the noid.

No cowl hood needed

it actually fits in there pretty well for how much is going on in there. I will however have a cowl hood soon but not before most of my "go" parts are on
