Bottle heater question??

How do you guys have your bottle heaters hooked up? I have mine hooked via a switched power source. It seems like it takes about 20-30 minutes for the pressure to build up. I don't like the idea of having to have the key on this long without the car running. And if the car is running then it gets hot. I guess my battery may just not be 100%, but I am afraid that it will run it down trying to build up bottle pressure. Any suggestions??

Pre heat the bottle.....hot water in the bath tub and within 5minutes 1100psi. Just keep a close eye on the psi and the water need not be boiling!!

Good idea...what about when I am at the track. Once a run is over and I purge the gas out of the lines, the bottle pressure drops back down....what then?

i have mine just running straight off the battery... but I haven't usd it yet.

I pre heat mine at home by using a battery charger while key is on. I also have a bottle blanket that helps maintain pressure inbetween runs.

That is one of the reasons why I designed the heated bracket. Once hot, it adds thermal mass to your bottle. By having the hot aluminum bracket strapped to your bottle, it keeps the bottle pressure more stable between runs. I know this won't help you out much since you run a wrap style heater.

I would think that a blanket & heater combo would help you out. Robert, any noticeable difference with the blanket?
