Correct me if I'm wrong but I read somewhere that the bottom end of a stock LS1 can handle up to somewhere close to 900HP & the internals are only good up to about 500HP before you start breakin rods. Also heard the stock ignition system can handle HP applications up to 1000HP before you need to upgrade. Again this is just what I have read, possibly is not true.
i just dynoed my ss today with pacesetter longtube headers 3 inch x pipe dynomax bullets it oput down 316 hp and 321 ftlbs with an nx 100 wet shot it dynoed 410 hp and 444 ftlbs of torque. thursday we're getting it back on the dyno and we're gonna re jet it for either a 150 or a 175 shot and i'll post new numbers afterwards

The rod bolts are generally the weak link. I think one shop tested them to be somewhat reliable to about 710-720 at the crank. I should be hitting the dyno before the end of the year, I imagine the numbers will be just shy of 600rwhp.
all stock motor in the 00 formula with 200 n2o motor rated. 442/523 with open cutout. with the bassani tru-duals i had a 460 rwhp number. but, the lines were so wavy, i threw it away.
A local in Tampa made 680 rwhp on the stock bottom end on RevXtremes dyno with a dual stage dry/wet with some good tuning. This particular bottom end was run at well over 550 rwhp most of its life. It finally died while racing high speed runs with Supras while spraying into 5th gear at 160+ mph. Even then it only melted a plug and an exhaust valve. The bottom end was intact.
The car was JuicedSS262s car. Nitrous basics were designed by myself and the RX guys and tuned by Jeremy Formato.
This same car now has a 408 with a setup we did...its making 868 rwhp currently.
here is the link to the original post of it making 664 rwhp.
