I ran a 150 on my '96 in sig on stock everything for over a year.

ZERO problems.

I plan on starting out with a 150-200 on my LS1 and am still deciding whether or not to make any fuel upgrades. I'd like to eventually run 200-250...

I would say get a inline pump at least, to be safe.

An in-line pump is not the best idea for the F99+ modules. An in-tank pump is the best solution.

What's the diff with the 99+ ? I have a '98. I am still not sure what to do. I have a brand new Walbro inline that I paid $50 for. Running heads/cam putting out 413/383. Adding 100 wet shot.

Intank means I have to pay my mechanic to get in there to install, plus the $130 Walbro. I don't have the extra cash for that now, I just picked up all my nitrous parts

The 99+ cars have a bucket. Your 98 does not so the in-line pump is OK for now. Hopefully you have a healthy in-tank factory pump.

Thanks for your input. We plan to check out fuel pressure thoroughly and A/F ratio before hitting the sauce hard. I also have a mechanic friend who has been at a Chevy dealership for almost 15 years, and I will ask him if he has dealt with any fuel pump issues on the 98's.

I have yet to hear from anyone that has blown up on a stock fuel pump on a 98-02 LS1 F-body with a wet shot.

Did you try searching through the archives? You might not get a response to your question for a few reasons, one being that a lot of guys do upgrade their fuel systems and two, well if I blew my motor because I didn't upgrade my pump I wouldn't necessarily post about it LOL (though I would send you a PM or something).

Hey matt, with the racetronixs kit on a 98z28 would you need to upgrade injectors or only run the fuel pump?

If you're spraying a wet shot, no, you don't need larger injectors. There are only a few reasons to upgrade your fuel injectors, like if you're making more NA power or if you're spraying a dry nitrous shot.

Thanks,
Matt

Since you do not have heads and your cam is a good size but not really big.The intank walboro witll do the job for 125.00.Yes the racetronix system is a better way to go but if its not in your budget get the intank pump atleast. And stay way from the inline pumps.
