Questions about tnt power ring..

I have the steel TNT Ring (possibly the older version). I am putting mine on a 2001 Vette that has a smooth air coupler.
Mine doesn't have any type of rubber seal/ring. Do I need one? Maybe it is easier on a Vette.

Well the lid is a pain to get to fit but the screw at the top IS NOT a set screw. Its a screw to mount the solenoids. You guys just sound like you have ingenuity and tried for a couple of minutes to put it on and said screw it. Mine actually went on and sealed in all of 30 seconds.

I have tried many different options and none worked for me. I have had the kit for some time now and have installed several so this wasn't my first attempt.

The one I have has a screw at the top and its for the solenoids as it isnt even anywhere near where the TB is on the ring and it fit perfectly fine. I dont know about any newer one that you guys might have. You have a link to a pic or something?

Here is a pic that shows the set screw on the inside and outside of the ring. Its obvoius that we can't attach our solenoids to this. 
I believe they went to this design about a year or so ago. I purchased my TNT kit back in the summer of 03 I think.

I believe they went to this design about a year or so ago. I purchased my TNT kit back in the summer of 03 I think.Yeah thats looks totally different from the way mine looks. If you look at the pics in my post and look at the screw on mine it obviously is a solenoid screw.
