No, I didn't feel as you stepped on my toes, just clarifing. It's not my preferred brand, as my kit contains NX, NOS, DyonTune and other brand components. Once again I must state, the redundant noids are for safety and not based on a quality issue. The noid sticking open thing has a failure rate consistant to all brands of n2o noids, not specific to NOS. This is really the only problem that can cause motor issues with a dry hit. I have had a n2o noid stick open and it was NOT a NOS brand noid. There are noids on the market that are specifically engineered for the pulsing that progressive outputs, now does that make NX noids less than adaquate for this use, I think not, but maybe not ideal on the other hand?

how well it it control 4 large nx solenoids for a dp? and it's only a progressive for one stage correct? and the second one is time delayed both with window switches? so for me I'm running a dp and a plate. I would just have to choose which one i want to be on the progressive and the other on the timer? If this can handle it I'm definitely ordering it today.

Both stages with the new unit are completely independenty programable, and both are completely progressive using the new curve program. I had to call Jerald at FJO to double check on the 4 solenoid thing. The new unit will have no problems at all running two sets (set = one fuel, one nitrous) of solenoids. Jerald said that the built in solenoid driver would handle 3 sets of solenoids if you are using 4 solenoids for the DP and 2 for the plate since they won't be activated for very long (less than 15sec.).

So if I wanted to (which I probably will if it is as I understand it to be), I can replace my current MSD digital window switch with the FJO unit, for only $200??? I can than setup my window switch and ramping through my laptop...correct?

The update has yet to be posted to their site... It will up before the end of the month. Free updates are well worth waiting for.

Question I have is, after reading the website asnd everything on here, I am wondering for RPM-based progressive nitrous application do you still need to buy the optional solenoid driver?

If so, how much is the solenoid driver?

That will really determine for me if I pickup the new setup, or a full blown Maximizer 2... I mean the extra features of the Maximizer 2 would also come in handy, but if I can save some cash while also getting the rpm-based progressive setup I'll take it...

From thier page: http://www.fjoracing.com/products/2SSX/parts.php

KWS0020 - 2-STAGE PROGRESSIVE SWITCH kit
Activates 2 independent outputs based on TPS input and RPM (includes cables and software). PC configuration via USB connection. (for PROGRESSIVE capability, add a KND0020)

KND0020 - HIGH CURRENT SOLENOID DRIVER Kit
Drives 2 pairs of solenoids from the 2-Stage Progressive Switch (for adding progressive control to the KWS0020 SWITCH) (includes cable and connector)

So, I assume the $200 sale is for KWS0020 and I am wondering how much KND0020 is going to be...

If I am wrong (I hope I am ) then $200 would include BOTH units, but I doubt it...

That is the older units. They use to be in 2 boxes, now all is built into one tiny unit. With the micro circuit boards and processor chips that are now available they can put it all in one box.
all for 200.00.
Now it can not control the open, heater, purge, data log, tps trim, and does not have the map sensor in it...
So if you want to use any of those options then would need the maximizer 2.

Thanks for the reply, I am VERY glad I was wrong ...

But, with everything else you mentioned, I believe I might still going to be leaning towards a Maximizer 2 setup... having everything integrated seems like a no-brainer for me, as my setup is already supercharged and I want as few hassles and with the highest reliability and safety from the nitrous setup...

Anyone know of any GPs on on a Maximizer 2 or who has the best price for one?

Thanks,

Dennis
