I think it's possible....just get more weight out of the car and build a serious 346 motor with a serious N20 setup, possible carb intake and solid roller.

Sometimes I wish I didn't plan a 402 for my next build and stuck with the small motor.....but we are planning on running some 1/8 mile stuff down here against SBC and BBC combos and we need all of the power we can get!

im almost out of weight reduction. i might have 100 pounds left which it will be out this winter.
im going to do a similar setup to what i have, but i have an idea for te n2o kit.
sticking with hydrolic tho. we'll see, im sure i can push it into the low 9's, possably high 8.
we'll find out tho

never ran it on motor. lol
the 1 time i did, i had my n2o tuneup in it, and i shifted early 4500-5k rpm instead of 6500, and i let out around 800-1000 foot mark. it was licence runs, and it went 12.2.
i would guess with a motor tuneup it would go 11.5 or so

I think it would be way cool to see what you could squeeze out of a stock displacement motor!

Go big Brad or go home! To hell with the 427, wait until that Dart tall block is out.. and go BIG, dual or 3 stage that bad boy, won't be any need for more weight reduction, you'll be able to make more power with that setup then your car will be capable of handling.. or you will even want for that matter.

In the mean time, while you are waiting for that block.. get a 90/90 setup on your car and port match that bad boy, or go strait carb style setup, then send those heads on your car out and get them done up for a max effort 346 setup... and think about going solid roller on the small motor. I'd bet that with what you already know... doing that stuff, along with a multi stage juice setup should add a good amount of poewr to what you already have, the multi stage will keep the nose down too... maybe make enough power to get you well into the 8's

Whatever you do... 8's are gonna happen... not a problem. ( just save all the left over 9 second parts to put on my car so I can run 10's with them LOL! )
