Default New 346 Break in Procedure and when can I spray Nitrous?

Getting a New Lingenfelter 346 with Forged Pistons since my engine took a turn for the worse. It was the #7 Piston that went as a result of likley a bad ring that finally gave out.

A new engine was cheaper alternative to messing with repairing things.

How long should I break in the motor before I dyno it, and then I have a NX Dual Nozzle 100 shot wet kit. How long should I wait until I bring the car back to dyno it and run it with the nitorus??

I was going to wait several hundred miles just to make sure things are working properly as I don't want to blow up a new engine.

Any suggestions.

If you have good rings and there all file fitted i would say 15min and let it rip.Thats what i do and i don't have a problem.

i ran mine for 10 minits, changed the oil, tuned it on the dyno, then sprayed it. that was with a brand new tranny as well.
ive always been a firm believer in brake it in how you will drive it!

Since this is more of a street car.I say drive it for about 500 to 900 miles.Give it time to break in a little. Then do it. I break mine in just like Noyzee.

kill it first time. lol
my car has 200 passes with 250-300 worth of spray, 500+ street miles, and god nows how many dyno pulls. just keep the oil clean, that is very important.

my buddys has the same way of thinking as noyzee.
start it and run it like you drive it. If its going to let go its going to do it right away. Would you rather get it and and break it or get it in and drive around and then break it

Every engine I ever built, once it was running I was on it big time. I wouldn't be afraid to spray it right away if it was mine. With that said, giving it a few hundred miles break in will certainly not hurt a thing, but don't be afraid of getting on it, won't hurt anything n/a. That's how I used to seat the rings, getting on it.

A nice 300 shot will keep those pistons looking new.
