More on why I like mine on display. Anyone can have a stock "clean" look, but a true Hot Rodder will allways display his wares/craftsmanship, wanting anything but the dime a dozen stock look. I agree, some of the installs with braided lines running all over the place , and wiring that looks like a ten year old did it, inspire an attitude of god that looks crappy. So, take your time and do a nice custom job and you'll be happy to show it off.

when i do mine it will somewhat be hidden for the simple fact of cops my trucks already loud over the legal bumper and a few other things so i'm gonna keep it on the down low so i dont get any more attention.

A "true hotrodder".........hmm..........I wonder if I have time enough left to attain this lofty level?

FWIW, here's my "dime a dozen" look. When I get my new plate in from Dave, the system will be completely invisible. In light of the soon-to-be-passed legislation regulating nitrous here in PA, that's a good thing.

My kit is considered "hidden" by most, but I just like clean installs. I like my interior as well as under my hood looking stock & clutter free. I'm not into showing off anything...

I hid mine because I thought it would be something neat to do. A challenge. (It's hard to hide a system on a Ram Air car)

Secretive, Stealthy.

The system is impossible to find. ( I took it in for warranty work and nobody noticed it)

A nice clean install.

Easier to get through Tech.

Hide from wife.

*My high MPH gives it away.* ;o)

Whats the use of having a permit when the application says "location where the nitrous oxide is to be used" then is says "N/A for race cars/vechiles". How do you get around that one. What do you write in that box?

I'm from MD and there is no law about using n2o just transporting it. Which requires permits and the signs you see on the tracker trailers say "hazardous, oxygen, chemical and so on. I researched this issue a few years ago with some people of the law and DOT and thats what they told me.

What you are quoting means that particular question is not applicable to race cars/vehicles, not the permit itself.

silverbeast--that kind of **** with the cops is going on around here too--I havent been hassled but the newspapers are feuling negative public opinion of modified cars lately and making it look like everyone is in danger due to a street racing epidemic and the papers have shown a few kids cars being impounded due to nitrous bottles in the car.this is at those "cruise nights" and stuff like that where people congregate with cars.Kids could be doing alot worse.Anyway it seems the trend with cops is now to bust ***** about mods--especially nitrous.Mine is in plain site but I may be hiding it soon.

Now that's a true Hot Rodder's engine compartment, nothing saying stock there. Nozzles are a dead give away, that your also a drag racer.

I agree but thats under the hood. When he asked hidden I thought he meant the bottle. Its kind of hard to hide whats under the hood, but you can make it look a lot less obvious. I like the bling under the hood, but unless you open the hood you can't tell my car is juiced. Open it and you'll see polished fule rails, fuel pressure guage and the tell tale braided lines of a dual nozzle wet kit. I think its a good looking install and I had the hood open all last sunday at our football fest. But keeping the bottle hidden protects me from unwanted attention.

I prefer the hidden kit myself also..

LOL

Now we do have a kit "hidden" on my brothers Corvette, but its really just hidden from my parents. Everything but the bottle is hidden. We just take a bottle when we leave and head out. Its a dry kit, the BIG solenoid single NOS Nozzle and no nitrous pill.

Yes its a NX direct port kit. It is a Pro Shark Fogger kit with Pirahnna (spelling?) nozzles so that they make it easy to clearance!!
