Default MSD Digital Wondow Switch Display Question?

Looking at my MSD Digital (in my glove box) while I was driving and I see the on and off RPM's etc. and I knwo you hit MODE and put it on 4 CYL for our Cars.

BUT

The whole time the window switch keeps showing 1.4, 1.3, 1.5 , 1.4 it just keep schangign and scrolling on the read out.

What is this? Is thsi just showing the Voltage Reading??????????

Thanks

It "should" be reading your engine speed. Were you just cruising in OD? The 1.4, 1.3, 1.5 would represent 1400, 1300, and 1500 rpm.

I just installed my MSD digital W.S. I need to know if I hooked up the power correctly The way I have it set up now, it is drawing its power from the microswitch by the throttle body. It only turns on when my toggle switch is armed...is this correct? It reads the engine's RPM when the toggle switch is armed. I haven't had a chance to test it out, I broke my tranny's tailshaft and bent the output shaft 2 weeks ago (2nd time) and I should be rebuilding it on monday. I just want to know if I installed the W.S. correctly so that I can make sure it will work.

Thanks for any help.

As long as it's a switched power you're using (which you are), it should be fine like you have it.

Mine is on all the time. I was sitting there at idle! so that is all it was reading.

Thanks Trooper

That was engine speed. Either your car idles pretty high or it was not actually set on 4cyl mode.
