looking to build a street race motor 400+inch ls1. is it better to run higher comp.like 11.5 or 12 to 1 and less nitrous like 175 to 200 or 10 to 1 comp. with a 225 or 250 shot.looking to make the most power on 100 octane unleaded.or even 9.5 to 1 and a ton of nitrous.looking to go 10.00s at 3500 lbs

I dont know how much nitrous and compression 100 octane can hold but I'd go for all you can get. I know the nitrous Pro-Mod cars run around 14-14.5 to 1.

Compression doesn't affect nitrous use much. Build the engine with a compression ratio that you can live with on the street if that is your goal. I've nitrous on engines anywhere from 8.5-1 all the way up to 14.5-1. It loves everything.
