a window switch, and a high flow fuel pump can be installed for some added safety.

A friend of mine had a bone stock(air lid) 01 SS M6. He ran the NX with a 150. No fpss, no fuel pump. He did change the plugs to the TR6s. He ran consistent 12.0s@119. Although the pump and ss would safen' it up a bit,

You have two options really on the fuel pump. One would be a Walbro pump and a hot wire kit. You'll have to do some modding to get it to work and you'll loose some functionally of the factory fuel system. Option two would be a Racetronix kit. It's plug and play and retains all of the factory fuel system. We carry the Racetronix fuel pump systems & carry FPSS.

If you keep the shot around 100. The stock pump should be ok. Make sure the AFR is in check. The Window Switch is real important since you have a M6.

Spend the money and do it right. Or expect to spend thousands later. Don't do what my friend did and slap a kit on. He lost his whole car at the track due to a Nitrous Backfire. Car went up in flames.

We suggest a fuel pump upgrade for anything over a 100 shot for safety reasons. I know people spraying 150 on a stock pump. The only way to know for sure its a good strong pump that will handle the extra volume is to put a gauge on it. When you rip ito it if the pressure does not drop then you are ok.

We carry the racetronix systems. They are deffintly the best way to go.But for what you are looking for and on the budget you are on you could do a simple walboro intanke pump for 125.00.That will support what you have on a 150 shot easily.

A FPSS is designed to shut off your nitrous kit if the pump fails, not as a safety net for an inadequate fuel system. If possible watch your FP when you spray the vehicle and stay with a 100 shot until the fuel system is upgraded. I know the fuel pump kits aren’t inexpensive, but look at it this way, they are cheaper then a new motor.
