I re-wired everything, tested it and it all works fine. Before I put the panels back, I'm going to wrap the main N2O feed line with some plastic tubing.

That's what I do with braided line. under hood or through the cabin, wherever, braiding contacts something vulnerable, I wrap with nice clear tubing from hardware store.
