The reason is more plenum volume.. We saw that same amount while dyno Brains car a couple of years ago, but it was 7 hp not 6... did it back to back so info was correct.. Ours was with a 1inch plate spacer..
At this time TODAY there are no lightning noids shipping..

So it would be worthwhile to get this thing, regardless of whether or not you paln to spray?
When will these things be available again?
How about this:
Speed10002 LS1/LS6 Throttle Body Spacer
Seems like it would serve the same function, as far as increasing pleneum volume.

The plate is already available it seems, its at Daves site.
EFI Conversion Kits
I am tempted to get the conversion kit to get the plate (cap the an-4 conx) and do a ported throttle body at the same time, then get the rest of the system when the new noids ship.
Its common practice in the Carb world to use a spacer to get a little more out of a motor, makes perfect sense it would work with a throttle body.
Hmmm, must get the wife to get me the LS-6 intake for Xmas to round off Dave's plate and the ported throttle body combo
, now to send her this thread , and hope she recognizes the car!
Of course then I risk her knowing I am getting more car stuff...so she will ask for more house stuff...ahhh the insanity of it all!
Cheers
