Default Which sleeper cam for the dry shot?

42lb injectors
150 dry shot

LPE GT2-3 207/220 .578/.581 118.5
CheaTR 214/230 .601/.578 117

Seems like the CHeatR is good for about 20rwhp more on motor. And its technically traditional split duration? Both cams have tons of negative overlap and more exhaust duration than my stock 02 Z06 cam. I'll be running this setup through the stock manifolds and full stock exhaust. Looking for 550rwhp on the hose. Anyone think I should get the racetronics fuel pump or will my stocker work fine for 550rwhp and 42lbers?

CheaTR is an outstanding nitrous cam, plus it gives more like 30-35 rwhp (with stock manifolds) and 40+ with headers.

Patrick! The CheaTR pusher I was hoping you'd come in. So how stock is the cheatr really? I want my car to look and sounds stock with stock manifolds and everything. IE No one would know it wasn't stock but then BAM 550rwhp You think a CheaTR, Pulley, Ported TB and Halltech Stinger would get me close to 400rwhp?

Have you seen any CheaTR dynos with LS6 heads?

yes it will, no problem. being 150 shot a cam really doesn't come into play here. if u had a 200+(more like 250 or above) then a cam comes into play. just pick a cam that will get u the N/A HP u want then spray.

the mods u listed I would almost promise u 400+ BUT every car is different. ur car should dyno 365rwhp so just putting in the cam + tune should net u 400rwhp.

Cam info givin is right on. Now on your fuel system. Stock will support 550hp and some go higher. The real problem with our systems is the lack of return and regulator at the rails. This cause flucations in the fuel pressure at high demand, which is less than ideal for a dry hit as it makes the injector flow less. Good news is there is a reasonably inexspensive fix coming. Check the fueling section for a post by Racetronics, they are releasing (when?) a fix that uses our existing rails and removes pulser and replaces with a return to tank reulator and all hoses and '97 style fuel filter. This will cure the fuel pressure falling off and fluctuations. A hot wire kit will also allow max voltage at pump and thus more output. I may also change out fuel pump as I see close to 600hp this coming season, maybe. Good luck.

Is this what you're talking about rob? This is all I could find for the C5.

Volt Booster?

What all does VINCE have for his fueling? It seems to be working well with a 200dry shot on top of a 550rwhp motor.
I think 550rwhp 130mph traps and completely stock sounding and driving would be the ultimate setup.

The amount of stealth totally depends on idle speed and catback choice. With a 6 speed, the stock 800 rpm reveals a slight "beat" to the idle, but if you raise it to 850, it's pure stealth. If you want lope, lower it to 700 rpm.

I've seen dyno gains of 30-35 rwhp regardless of whether the car had stock heads to Stage II heads. LS6 heads would be very nice.

Racetronics has a Hotwire harness kit, it allows max voltage at the fuel pump. Power comes directly from alternater, and you can see a 10/15% increase in pump output. There is also a BAP kit like Kenne Bell's that can boost voltage much higher, like 17/24 volts approx, for like 30% gains or more. My numbers are approx from memory.
Here's the link with some good info:

I have the GT2-3 and I have problems not fish tailing after 3500, but until about 2200 RPM the damn thing has NO power. I'm absolutely certain a non-stock converter will solve that though.

I'd vote for the CheaTR also, but install it maybe 6 or 7 degrees advanced. That will get you a plenty early EVO event to dump all the extra exhaust. BTW, with this cam and the advance, the 150 shot should make 200 easy with no more strain on the motor, just because it won't have to work so hard to push out the exhaust...

I disagree. It's 40% more exhaust flow on a 400 HP engine. (more like 50 when you account for having to overcome the extra pumping losses.) The main issue though in deciding whether to go with an N2O -specific cam is do you want to lose a bit of power off the juice, or a lot more on it?
