Default Nitrous veterans in here please! Robert?

I've done lot's of reading on this site, and here's where I'm at.
Want to get a 75-100 dry system. I believe my injectors and fuel pump are up to this, right?
I need to get colder plugs, TR-6's [part#4177] gapped .38-.42
timing should be fine.
Spray in front of the maf, but do not aim directly at it.
Start with the 75 and if all is well then go for the 100 shot.
Need a window switch and bottle heater,[ cold up here in wash.]
Set window from 3000 to about 5800 rpm's.
Am I missing anything? Purge needed?
I drive a 2001 z-28, 2.73 gears, magnaflow cb, slp lid, 3000 stall.

Sounds like you've got the basics covered. You should be fine on the stock fuel system for that size shot.

Good to go. No purge needed.

Yes,
It looks like you have it covered.. The purge will help the 60 foot time and keep a delay from happening when hitting the system. However you can get away with out it. Check out our Halo system. Its a very tricky unit.We also offer a single nozzle dry kit and a dual nozzle dry kit. In other brands we have the NOS 5177 kit.

I have been researching the idea of spraying my z06 as well with a dry shot. Is maf freezing really a big issue? My intake track is straight and I dont really have any other way to spray it than facing the maf. I can get it about 1 foot or less away from the maf but thats about the best I can do with my intake system. I only plan on running a 100shot so should I be worried about maf freezing? I see guys run huge dry shots and I cant imagine that if they aren't freezing the mafs then I shouldn't. Just wondering. Thanks
John

A '01 with the bigger 28lb injectors will support your 100 shot when ready just fine. seems you have everything covered and have done your research. I would gap the plugs a little closer if it wer my set-up maybe the .036/.038 area. Not to close to the maf and try not a direct at maf shot, as it's best to have spray in your air box and able to mix with incoming air for a good maf reading. I would suggest not only check out Dave's dry kits, but also check out the new PRO Dry kit from Nitrous Direct, a in house spec kit. It is very complete, quality, safe and at a good price kit (look in vette section for best descript and pics, same kit as per f-body). If you know what air box you are going to use I could give you direct advice on nozzle placement. Try to buy from a site sponsor to keep our site healthy.

I'm sorry if I am routing your post offtopic but my intake looks like this...

I want to move the maf to be up against the TB. then i want my nozzle about where the corvette emblem is on the duct but from the underside to hide it. Would this idea work or do I need to find a plan b?

I would spray directly into my airbox but I would be afraid of some n2o escaping at speeds and not getting the full 100 shot. there wouldnt really be a way to detect that on a dyno standing still.

I have had many customers do what you are saying. Or you can put a blow through nozzle in the end of the filter though the box. Spraying into the box really should be fine though. The induction at wide open throttle should suck it right in.

I agree, I think what you want to do is fine, nice and hidden.
