Default Is it rice?

I need the opinion of the masses.

I already have a NX single nozzle kit and one bottle. I currently have the bottle brackets that came with the kit and well…I hate to say it…but they suck. LoL. They’re just a pain to get the bottle in and out. I currently have the bottle in the spare tire area but it’s not to be hidden. It’s more of a “get it out of the way” thing.

My question is this…Would it be in bad taste to put a dual bottle bracket with dual NX Black bottles in the car on the rear area behind the back seats? I’ve seen it done in a ZO6 and it looked sick as hell but I’m not sure about my car. It’s a black on black 02 SS. I’ll be adding an additional stage within a month or two and possibly going with a DP set-up a little bit down the road. This is more of a show car but don’t get me wrong, I drive the **** out of it. 

What do you guys think?

Option 1: One bracket with dual bottles

Option 2: Two brackets with single bottles in each

Option 3: Keep the **** in the spare tire well

why is that "in bad taste?" sounds like you're just being prepared. personally, i'd go with a dual bottle bracket like this

That's actually the one I was thinking about getting. I was going to do that or two single ones of the same style.

It's definatly not rice. I've seen a viper and a c6 vette with dual nitrous bottles in the back and it looked excellent.

Not rice. Looks sweet if done properly and thrown together.

I stripped my white bottle that came with the kit and put about 10 coats of Acrylic Enamel high gloss black on it followed by a brand new NX sticker compliments of Dave and then about 4 coats of clear. She's purdy.

I think I'll get another one from Dave and hopefully he can send me another NX sticker so I can do the same thing. I'm not sure if I'm going with a dual center or two singles put on each side aiming at about 35 degrees to the center of the car...hmmm decisions decisions

I'm glad someone posted this up. I removed my rear seats and I am going to do the rear seat delete thing. I was thinking of mounting 1 or 2 bottles on that platform I am building. I like the idea, especially for car shows. I noticed that at car shows, sometimes the gaudy bring some OOOs and Ahhhs, not that I would do anything gaudy, but to each his own.

BTW, I like the idea of painting the bottles, maybe the same color as the car?

If you want some bling... a single mounted in teh middle of the rear seats on teh driveshaft tunnell looks pretty good... that's always been one of my favorites, and easy to turn bottle on and off w/o a remote opener. A duffle bag with the bottom cut out will cover it too if need be, for legal reasons.

JSws6, good point. I didn't even think of the legal ramifications of the exposed bottles. My bottle is in the spare tire well, you can't see it, but in the back seat, it is fully exposed. I might then stick with one bottle (easier to cover), and still mount it to my rear seat delete board, for a cleaner look. Thanks for the info.

I don't think it looks rice, I am just noticing that ever since the F&F crowd, it makes people a little nervous to do anything that has to do with there NAAWWWS, it might be seen by others as "rice."

yea so everybody says they would choose option 1 and 2. But whats so wrong with leaving it in the spare tire well. Also, not saying that it will or is gonna happen but what "if" you get pulled over and they see the bottles. To some cops it gives them more to fuss about. Just looking out for you homie
