Default 3rd Gear Problems With N20

My mods are listed in sig.
150hp shot works fine through all gears except 3rd. When it hits 3rd it feels as though it wants to break up smuther itself. Then when overdrive hits it smooths right back out. Although it did the same thing at the track on a 100hp shot and the shot took .9 of a sec. off my e.t. so maybe theres nothing wrong at all. I have a vigilante stall and they claim their stalls arent read right on the dyno but the guys running the dyno says it was the stall slipping. My dyno sheet has the power line just looping around just as though a slipping clutch on a manual would look. But its straight as an arrow on all engine. Air and fuel ratio is perfect on engine and n20. I dont know it still seems to pull strong as a m/f anyway. Let me know what you guys think.
Ill get track test numbers on feb. 18th

If it's surging that's usually a sign it's going lean.
Track ain't the same as a dyno. Watch your wideband during a run.

Is this a dry shot?

wet shot, not surging, tach holds steady rpms, not going lean. Its actually jetted pretty rich.

Can you describe the problem in more detail?
Your first description sounds like surging to me.

If it was ignition related I would expect it to get worse in O.D.
Fueling is another story. You could actually get more fuel in O.D. due to the PCM calculations for load.

You may be running out of fuel or pump under heavy load? Have a press gauge, it may not show on dyno?

Assuming your A/F is good because you had it ona dyno:

If it feels like it starts skipping at the top of 3rd, then close your plug gap by .010 and try it again. BTW, what plugs are you running?

stall slipping i doubt. i'm a tranny man.i would lean more towards the tranny itself 3rd gear maybe . is the tranny stock? that's alot for one of these tranny's esp.. a stock one. may need to boost press on tranny and racing clutches. shift kit with a billet servo? a billet servo will help alot . my exp.. with them has sometime mad aharder shift to 3d than 2nd. the servo works the 2/4 band

i doubt its running out of fuel. Just installed 255lb walboro for the 150hp shot. I had same problem with stock pump on 100hp shot. But it only does it in 3rd gear. I cant see it being a stall or fuel problem myself. But i could be wrong. I would think though if it was 3rd gear itself then it should do it during all engine runs as well. But it runs perfect N/A. I dont know Ill try regaping the plugs as suggested. BTW ive got tr6 plugs with 10.4mm taylor wires.
