If you are talking about grinding so that the blade is flat when opened? then yes

definately check your tps voltage at wot then. I cant remember the specs....but it should be around 4.4 and not over a certain amount. I have had that happen and make things crazy

If your tune truley changes like you say with the leaner AFR as seen on a WBO2, and more spark advance as seen on log files of the run, then it is definately a MAF issue.

If it was a pump problem your timing wouldn't increase.
Besides repositioning the nozzle, you could try dropping your coolant temp down to about 140*F and making a run to see if the fueling changes and can keep up. If you do this by tricking the PCM then be sure to adjust the coolant bias for spark advance so you don't over advance.
