Default Nitrous Pressure Safety Switch?

I can't really find a good answer on this, but here's what I'm thinking... We all (or most of us) use the FPSS to keep safe. Why not a "NPSS?" I bought the GenX kit last spring and have since purchased the Maximizer II. Since the Maximizer can manage my bottle heater/pressure (with additional elec. pres. sensor), I no longer need the transducer that came in the GenX kit. My idea is to use a NC relay to disable my entire system if the pressure falls out of the range of the NX transducer. I might have my relays types confused, but I know I'll be using one with five prongs.

So... here's what I want to know: At what pressures does NX transducer "send the signal" to enable and disable the bottle heater? I think it's 900 psi on and 1050 psi off, but I just want to be sure.

Also, good idea, or bad idea? Waste of time with the Maximizer? (since it can cut off in w/rich mixture)

Thanks,
-somebody

We could set the maximizer not to let you use the system until it reads X pressure. If youare interested.? take a little programming, and time,. Let me know if I need to proceed.

The transducer operates with in 900psi and 1050psi. This is an ok idea, but there usually isn't any damage caused by runnin rich so I don't know how helpful it would be. Go for it and see what happens.

I would like to see a heater developed that could heat the bottle fast enough to compensate for pressure drop during a pass. I know this probably wouldn't be very safe to have a heater capable of this, but it could be connected to the wot switch so that it could only operate while the system was spraying. I don't know, maybe this is a dumb idea, lol. And yes I know you could just use a push system, but I was mainly just thinking outloud.

Sorry for the hijacking, I'll get back on topic.

Actually that would be great. It's no rush though. I probably won't get around to reinstalling my kit until late spring/early summer anyway. Ideally I want to stay above 800. Last time I dropped into the sub 800psi range I had some nasty backfire.

(I'm gonna go off topic too)

Now, with what Jeremy was saying...
What about two bottle heaters, side by side? Sure not on a 5lb bottle. Maybe not even on a 10lb bottle. But what about your 12 and 15lb bottles?

Speaking of 12lb bottles... Is there anyway it can have a chrome look? And they'd be mounted upside down, so I won't need the siphon tube. Can you guys do either of that? If anything I need to ditch the tube, but I really like the rounded bottom ends of those composite bottles.

I'm probably going to one of those big car shows this summer so I need to start thinking about appearance mods.

Thanks,
-somebody
