Default Nitrous backfires

What causes nitrous backfires? Is it fuel puddling in intake, or is there more to it than that?

There have been several long winded debates/arguments/etc. on this topic. Use the seach feature and you'll get plenty of info on it. This would be much better than kicking the proverbial dead horse, lol.

Lugging the engine, over powering the engine components, and a few others. Mostly human error.

Well a window switch is a good one so to keep you in a safe rpm range low and high, also a fuel saftey switch to make sure your fuel pump is up to the task. Installing and operating your nitrous system to the mfg. specs. Nitrous filter to keep the trash from getting to the nitrous noid. Staying with the proper hp level for your appliction. 400hp on a stock engine just will not cut it, back fire and boom for sure.
upgrading your fuel system to the hp level you want to run plus some.

What about a sudden close of the throttle? Could the lower the velocity enough to enable a back fire? I run a dry first stage, and am considering a wet second. I'm using a FJO dual stage window switch, and all of the normal safty stuff.

Thanks,
Doug
