Default Vette bottle mounting location?

Where are most of you C5 guys mounting your bottle?
I have a sub and stereo in the center storage area, so that isn't an option.
I know it won't be very stable, but i wanted mine mounted within arms reach from the drivers seat.
Either in direct line with teh center console or behind the passenger seat near the rear speaker.

Anyone got pics, or a better idea?

This won't work for you because of your electronics, but here is what I am doing.

I have since swapped the -8 fittings to black, Carpeted the uncarpeted parts of the well's, and sent off the black bottle blanket to get a embroidered C-5 Logo on it.

Here is the Blanket with a paper logo for size reference

Waiting on a Billet Bottle Bracket, a manifold for the bottle gauge/Heater switch/remote pressure gauge and a gauge pod to start. Vinny at 860 is likely going to double check my install and do the LC-1 wideband install (hoping in March).

Cheers
Beer

that is a 15lb'er, so a ten would fit even better, if needing more room in spare area. some mount them sideways in the same location (special considerations if you do it sideways). My current set-up has dual 15's like the first pic, but angled slightly, no pics yet.

It's a two-seater. Isn't that what the other seat is for?

Here is the final on my bottle setup.

DynoTune Billet Bracket, Heater and Bottle Opener.
Only things pending (bottle wise) are wiring it up, running the Main Line, and getting the Blanket back with the C-5 Logo on it.

Cool, Beer, nice set-up. One thing I have done recently is add black velcro straps around bottle blanket. It makes them a little tighter and cleans up the look somewhat. I'll post pics soon.

Robert56,

I was looking around on your website (full of great info) and saw the pic that you had of the bottle mounted sideways in your vette...

This is exactly how I wanted to mount mine in my Camaro. Can you give some insight as to what the 'special considerations' are?

Thanks

Actually this is a pic of a buddys deep 11.xx dry Z06 set-up. The thing to change is concerning the pick up tube in the bottle. You can rotate bottle so pick up is facing the rear, or you can pull the valve and turn your tube (this will allow gauge to stay upright for a better look). This will help make sure you get good nitrous flow.

One of our local guys with a ZO6 mounted his bottles behind each tailight. He has a fitting sticking through the license plate for each bottle that's capped off. When he fills the bottles he removes the caps, makes sure the bottles are completely empty, and fills them via the fittings. Don't ask me why he did it this way, but you would never know the bottles where there. And he never takes them out of the car, so it's not a bad location for them.

LostCauseZO6- route the lines where ever you like. If you are going to run them throught the inside of the car I would suggest running the down the passenger side. I have yet to see a track tech crawl up under a vehicle to inspect where the main line from the bottle is routed. Honestly, I thought most people routed them through the inside of the vehicle.

Not exactly a zo6, but close! Easy to just reach back and turn on as I please.
