Default Looking for opinions/advice on how to finish my nitrous...

I am looking for some creative thinking to help me finish my nitrous kit. I previously has 2 polished rails from NX on each side to distribute the nitrous and fuel. They were too long so I sold them. Looking to brainstorm the cleanest way to setup the distribution of nitrous and fuel. Any suggestions are welcome.

Distribution Blocks probably should be your choice. They take up the least amount of room.

I think D. Blocks at this point might be your only solution. We have a new high flow block that is geared more towards race setups. I really need to get them on our site, but in the mean time if you have any questions or want to see them shoot me a PM.

Thanks,
Matt

Maybe I'm missing somthing here but why didn't you cut the rails to the length you needed prior to drilling for the lines. That's what my shop did and it looks/works great...

Every rail was custom cut for this install.

I forgot to measure the clearance between the cowl and the fuel rails. On the C5 there is no clearance compared to the F-body. There is maybe .500 between the fuel rail and the cowl.

On of the cleanest looking direct port setups I've seen on a 'vette is a custom install we did here at our shop. It was a single rail that ran down the middle of the intake, and it had a notch milled into it so that the cross over on the engine's fuel rail ran through the nitrous rail. No clearance issues at all between the rial and the cowl or the hood. The rail was black with the Nitrous Express logo and used black lines to black NXL nozzles. If the NX logo was not etched on the rail most you wouldn't even notice the system at first glance.

Anyway, that's an option for you distribution issue. Another option is like several others have already said, use distribution blocks. I personally am not a big fan of the blocks because it makes the nitrous system look like a spider due to all of the plumbing required. I just think it makes the intake look cluttered and complex, just an opinion.

I would purchase a set of our blank NXL rails, and machine everything to fit the vette. One solid rail does all the work. fuel in for the injectors,, a little drilling here a little milling there, a few blind holes and it becomes a clean one off piece. Then to the anodizers, and laser markers, (or engravers). put it all back together.
the piece that Jeremy was typing about, was clean install but a lot of lines had to be ran.
I will find a pic of what I am typing.

Too funny. That's the exact reason I went with it! I love the "old school" look of it. I think it's cool that there are so many different ways to do the plumbing that everyone (except Phil ) can be happy.... just joking!
Good luck Phil with your choices. If you do happen to go with a center distribution block like mine make sure to split the block in two, this makes it much easier to assemble and change jets. I have no clue how someone could do it without spliting it... NX boys make a note of that!

I've got something pretty slick in the works again...stay tuned. We're starting with some thick aluminum plate and a CNC mill....

They will fit just not under the cowl. I'd love to see a finished one, love the looks.

LOL, I figured you would say something Airwolf. That's cool though, to each his own. By the way, your intake does look very good, just not for me. And the comment on splitting the distribution block is noted.

I don't understand why more companies don't produce distribution blocks like this...
