Default The Stand Alone has arrived...

I'[ll say after talking with Dave at Nitrous Outlet and getting some valuabl;e input from Matt at HSW too...I made the decision to go with Dave's Driver Side Stand Alone fuel cell. I will try to keep this thread updated with some photos. In the mean time my first impressions are:
AWESOME PIECE !!!
No battery relocation...compact...workmanship is big time sweet. I sat it where it goes up front. What a great idea.

I located VP Race gas locally at Extreme Sports in Sumter... This should be the ticket to a future DP system when the car is finally taken off the road. For now it's the supply for a single NX MAF 150 shot. Soon it will feed the second stage as well...I knew thise Wiseco Nitrous pistons were installed for a reason!

That's the one I wanna get, mostly due to the crappy 91 oct gas here in cali, How manny passes out of this tank do yall think I can get out of this setup with not more than 435 RWHP plus a 150 Shot?

I haven't asked Dave what it holds...looks like about 3 qts of fuel. I will buy 2 gallons of VP 114 octane and expect it to last for awhile. You just don't use that much gasoline during a nitrous run. I'll PM Dave and ask him to comment. I need to make a dip stick out of stainless and measure the level differences after a day of test n tune. I run about 430 Rwhp NA and 583 so far with the NX 150 wet with an 4L60E and SS3600.

Pulled From Other Thread:

The tank is larger than a gallon and weighs in at 6.75 lbs. You only 1/2 lbs. per hour per horse power. So for a 100 shot you only need 50lbs of fuel if you were going to have it on for an hour. But since you are only on for 15 or less, 50 / 60 /60 x 15sec. = .208 lbs of fuel.. So he could make 30 passes and have some left.
Im horrible at figuring stuff like this up so I had it done for me.I hope this helps.
Dave

So if you run a 12.5 (which i hope you can atleast) you'll get 22 passes out of i gallon of c16, but i dont recommend you let your fuel level get that low...

Macon,
Please before you give Dave all your hard earned money, send some to the
starving people in Cali(ME).
Get that thing going, you're almost as slow at assembly as i am

I got mine five days ago. I tried install it and it just doesn't fit. I think I'll be happy after I modify this piece. It pisses me off that I paid $100 for anondizing just to grind it off in some places. I'll post pics when I'm done.
