My buddy sent the unit back 3 times within 1 year.

The thing with ZEX nitrous systems are...

You either hate it you love it. When it's a 50/50 split though, it's saying something. I would pass on ZEX, but I'm interested to hear what kind of experience others have had.

I switched from Zex to NX. I love my Comp Cams Pushrods I guess...I don't love my push rod tech support trying to answer questions about the Zex kits. It used to be different. The real problem was that the kit was soft. The NX is well supported, well built and well it's fast too.

There is nothing wrong with the zex kit and a smaller shot. If you want to get bigger, though, the noids won't flow that much. I was on a .083N for a 150whp hit...

The active fuel control is marketing BS. Just jet it, like any other kit.

I disagree and that's okay...you better like shades of purple and let me reiterate this point: There is inadequate tech support with Zex. NX, for instance, offers better parts, better looking parts too and unsurpassed technical support from NX and from it's dealers such as Nitrous Outlet. Please take notice that I have given you specific issues and I have owned and used the 82026 part number. Do what you like. I too used a 150 wet shot (which was not available in the kit). I never noticed anything special about active fuel control either.

Is the NX noid a bit better? Maybe, maybe not. But it is certainly bigger and can flow more. I haven't had either apart, but I'd bet they're both made from the same garbage.

As far as tech support goes, that wasn't an issue for me because I had no reason to call them so I can't really comment too much. I'd imagine, though, they don't get too many tech support calls for connecting 4 hoses and 3 wires and that is why it is not the best support in the world.

NX does not in fact use "Garbage" to build their solenoids.

Zex is a good starter kit or if you dont want to run big shots but is you plan on spraying 150 plus i wouldent recomend it at least not there wet kit they have a dp system out now. Any way it is very easy to set up 3 wires and one is an electronic trottle position switch insted of a micro switch witch is nice. All comp stuff is hard to get tech supprt on but the install isnt that bad and their directions shoud be good enough.
