I personaly like the pressure controled units. You simply turn the switch on and you can walk away from the car with out the worry of over heating the bottle. My favorite one for the money is the 860 unit. This unit is is basivcally a billit hot plate with the bottle brackets all in one.

We also have a inhouse unit that uses a adjustable pressure switch and black heater element. Our Elements are on Back order until the end of the month.

We also carry the NX, NOS and ZEX brand heaters.

If I were a customer that were looking for a heater element style and I already tried Nitro Daves and they were on back order and I could not wait.lol I would buy the Dyno tune one. They use a quality pressure switch with a nice black heating element..

Harris Speed also has a nice looking heating pad that is black. I have not looked at there pressure switch so I do not know any thing about it.

What ever you choose. Compare the pressure switches. Thats is a very important part of the auto heater. If you would like some honest tech help with your choice even if its someone elses product I will be happy to give my opinion. Hit me up through pm.

Take a look at our Revolution bottle heater. The components of the kit come with a lifetime warranty on them (adjustable pressure switch and so on). The heating pad element comes with a 2 year limited warranty on it. Here's a link for some more info: LINK

IMO, next to getting the 860 bracket, HSW's looks and operates the most user friendly

The only real difference is the Cold Fusion one is 300 watts and the others are not, as far as I know

As for the 860 Heated bottle bracket. It is 230 watts. However the heat transfer rate of alluminum is much higher than a silicone heat pad. So there is no need to have a higher wattage to pull more drain on the battery.

After looking at Harris Speeds site they use a good heater transducer also..

As for the 300 watters, they will heat your bottle in 80% of the time a 240 watter will. Yes, I have done back to back to back tests on this. Now, I know of no tests of the 860 vs a 300watter, so can't say for sure if it's as fast? I do know the surface area is small, so this may invalidate the implication that transfer rate of aluim will make it a quicker heater. I am not putting down 860 or their products, as they are great items, but just putting my perspective out.

Also, the adjustable transducer that Nitrous Direct uses is the same as some of the heater kits that NOS sells, so the sutble implication that it's some how inferior is nonsense, and we all if NOS uses something it's the best. So, the full auto heater from Nitrous Direct is a great value, and if your running a trick ND bottle blanket for more consistant runs, then heater color is null.

Robert,
Actually 860 did some testing with there older style heater before they went up on the wattage. They recently changed there website and the testing is not on there. Ill try to find it. I think you will be very suprised in the testing.

Now I never implicated anything about the coldfusion pressure switch. I did not even mention them. I just mentioned the companys I felt offered a good quality heater and pressure switch. Just to clear it up. I also do not like the ZEX heater or the NOS heater and I carry both of these products. The NOS pressure switch is the same coldfusion uses. There are much better pressure switches on the market in my opinion. I posted the tech info on these switches a while back. You can do a search to pull up the tech info on them. The Zex unit has a thermostate made to the heater. I have recieved many complaints from customers that were unhappy with this heater. There complaints are that the thermostat went out or it does not heat the bottle up well. Now NOS also offers a heater with a thermostat. The thermostat that comes with the unit will not take the bottle to 1050. Hoever you can replace that stat with another one that can. This will work just fine. I just prefer a good pressure switch. So dont take it personal. Because I did not recommend coldfusion for a good heater does not mean I was implicating anything. I was simply recommending the units that I feel are with in my expectations. Even if it was not from us.
Dave

I actually run a NX heater with NOS style 95* thermastat, and heats to 1050psi. I think NOS uses the 85* stats cause it heats to about 950psi and that is what they jet their wet kits to. Now the NX heater works fine, but a little slow (240 watt), however, I understand they will have a 300 watter soon. Dave's opinion on the Hobbs pressure switch that NOS and Cold Fusion uses is acceptable, however, just one man's opinion, and what I have seen is the fact that it works just fine. Furthermore, we use Hobbs pressure switches on all type of products at work, and is the standard in the industry because of reliability and sound engineering.

I bought the dynotune last year. What a great value with an adjustable pressure based thermostat. I found it to be very accurate and easy to use. Much better than the temperature based units I used in the past.
