Default New Nos set up

I have just installed a Nytrex EFI wet kit in my Z with a purge, MSD digital window switch and Fuel pressure safety switch.

I tested the nos solonoid and nos shoots out from the noid when I press the WOT switch with the engine running and the widow switch set down at a low rpm just for testing. I have it set to 3,000rpm on and 5,700 off for now.

Anyway I do a road test with the smallest jets 50hp and it kicks in like a mule!

It's like I have a turbo when I hit 3,000rpm all hell breaks loose. So it seems to be working fine.

So Just to make sure I'm spraying in the extra fuel aswell I do the same test on the fuel noid. So I remove the nozzle from the intake and spray it through the 50hp jet. (Number 20)

What suprizes me how little fuel comes out!

Thers's not much in the way of pressure there, it's a trickle.

Has anyone else tested there setup this way and seen the same thing?

Although it is difficult to give advice on questions like this because words like "trickle" are relative to the person using them, but I would say yes, it will surprise you at how little fuel is used to compensate for a specific amount of nitrous.

Thanks for that, I just expected that the fuel would gush out because it's a high pressure fuel system 43 psi or so.

That's cool there is no doubt the systemis working I felt hell of a kick when it hit 3,000rpm

Yea, alot of people think the the fuel will spray out similar to the nitrous. What happens is that the fuel is basically just put out in the path of the nitrous so that the nitrous will crash into the fuel particals. The nitrous is moving at a high enough velocity that it has enough force to atomize the fuel when they crash together.

Glad the system is working well for you, now up the horsepower setting an let it rip!

Ye right on! I figured it didn't look like enough was coming out when I fired the nos and fuel together 50hp so 100hp jets are in! It was as you describe the nos takes the fuel and sprays it out.

I figured if I going to spray I might as well spray at least 100hp to get me in the 12's hopefully when I take it to the track.
