Default A Question for DRY Experts

I know dry systems work well with LS1's. By dry, I mean just spraying through the MAF and letting the MAF take care of enrichment, without boosting fuel pressure like a ZEX kit.

Question is: have you experienced any cars that this does not work on?

you mean like trying it on an LT1 or a mustang or a 350Z or something?

you talking about a mafless car, or are you talking about an LS1 camaro with MAF that wont work right? Because i know of mafless cars with dry nitrous system that dont employ a rising rate regulator or maf, however do to my limited experience i have not heard of a non-working maf based car, only problems with nozzle placement causing a rich or lean condition.

Spenser, you just said you know of mafless cars running dry w/o rising rate regulators or a maf...then you said you havent heard of non-working maf cars etc.., What?

Vinny, yes there are a few guys running dry on their MAF type cars here, a 350z was one, and a few mustangs, and some honda's etc..

Some of the mustangs because of there simple computers can only handle small dry shots of 75hp and less through the maf. LT1's because of the small injectors don't work well, and thus spiking the fuel pressure.

Ok heres how im gonna put it down. I know one guy using a dry nitous system on a LS1 with a FAST engine managment system, however i know of no one using the stock LS1 computer. Sorry if i made that confusing. MS, Fast, Iono bout BS3, and a few other standalones have this feature also.

edit: just realized i said mafless cars without a maf. which really means mafless cars, sorry for so much confusion.

Thanks for all the replies already.
I am refering to cars with factory MAF's. It seems so far, as long as the injectors aren't maxed out from the get-go, then at least a small shot will always work.

Anymore cars besides, LT1's, mustangs, and 350Z's, that you have experience with?

From what I understand, the LT1 maf's do not respond quick enough to the nitrous so kits like the NOS dry (that spikes FP) exist. Although there are small number of people acutally spraying thru the LT1 maf (LS1 style) and not having issues. But I don't know much more than that.

a friend of mine had a Zex dry kit for his 98 GT mustang with a 125 shot, stock fuel delivery system and he had no problems.

I'll bet that is rated at the crank, and thus the small hit thing.

ZEX dry kits jack fuel pressure though.
