Default Track Nitrous Rules. What do I need

I plan on tracking my car for the first time with nitrous. The track is Maple Grove Raceway in PA and Im going on the 30th. Im worried that there are regulations for nitrous that I will not pass and therefore will not be able to track my car. If I need anything ive got to order it asap. As of now ive got the HSW 150 wet shot through a TB plate, along with a BMN window switch. The bottle is in the spare tire compartment and is sitting in a hard foam mold wrapped in towels, (temporary) i've only had the kit for 3 weeks and am working on fabbing a bracket that mounts like the 860 one.
What is required (blow down tube, correct bottle mount, heater) to use nitrous at a track following all the NHRA rules.

All you need to be track legal is a Blow-down tube that extends out of the passenger compartment. And the bottle needs to be rigid mounted .
Besides that, your good to go!
Oh yeah & bottle heaters need to be controlled, but most tracks don't actually check that one.

As for the NHRA requirements. Pretty much just a NHRA valve and blow down tube.

Nhra valve, meaning bottle valve? Are most valves NHRA approved? Im using a HSW 10lb
I'm ordering the blow down tomorrow. I think ill be able to run it right out through that hole in the bottom of the spare compartment? Anyone else ever done this, im assuming someone has? Then again, do i really need the blow down because the bottle is not in the passenger compartment, its in the spare tire well.

The NHRA valve replaces the stock blow off fitting. It gives the blow down tube the -8 threads it needs to screw on. Then if the rupture disc pops it will flow through the blow off fitting and out the blow down tube.

Yres you will still need a blow down. And the new NHRA rules specify a fire retardant jacket. Some tracks have been making you use them and some haven't yet.

Ya, I've done this with mine, had to bend the tube a little to get it to go out the hole, but it pokes out about 1/2 inch or so

So I need the tube and the small valve that fits into the bottle/tube.=?

DiabloFormula, What angle tube did you use? 90* 180*..... im guessing your bottle is horizontally mounted.

The track I go to doesn't care at all. I don't even have a blow down tube. Hooray for OSW.

If Harris is using a valve with the blow off valve on the opasite side of the bottle nipple you will need the 180. If the blow off valve is on the side of the valve like a NOS bottle you will need the 90. Looking at the blow off valve. If it screws into the valve you will need a 11709. If it svrews onto the valve you will need a 11706.

My track wouldn't let me run because my line was ran inside the car. They told me it has be run under the car. Is this right?

No that is not right. There are no rules that I am aware of NHRA or IHRA that say anything about where the line runs. Ask to see it in a rule book next time.

Think about all the all out race cars that have there lines ran through the inside of the car. Bare floor no carpet right in plain view.

The track officials at Ceceil county (PA) told me a a helmet, Fire Jacket, and blow down tube. But really they wont know unless you purge, or are in some sort of official race. If its just a test and tune day you ought to be fine.
