I'm thinking about putting a small dry kit on my car and was wondering if it's possible to run a dry shot MAFless. I tried a search, but couldn't find anything.

Seeing that people port their MAF all the time with nitrous then I dont' see why not. You'll most likely need a tune tho

If running a stand alone (FAST, DFI) engine management system yes. Stock PCM tuned in SD I wouldn't suggest.

You have to tell the engine to add fuel. The easiest way is the MAF, there is a way by tricking the IAT sensor and to dump fuel(havent tested this and havent talked to anyone who has done it yet). But its much cheaper to just go wet on a SD vehicle(cost of tuning).

Two reasons to go with dry is for cheapness on a MAF vehicle close to stock, or the safety of not having fuel in the intake on a race car.
