Default Purge Line

OK....I got this purge kit with a black poy line. I see how it hooks up to the solenoid, but what in the hell holds it at the end when you purge. If I drill a hole out for the poly line to exit, what keeps it from pushing itself back into the engine compartment. I know this sounds stupid as hell, but I have had this kit for 6 months now and I don't see any other hardware with the kit to hold the black poly line.

mine is the same way. i purge mine out of the vents right after the hood, before the windshield wipers. i just used 3 black zip-ties on each line and it holds them just fine.

i used a small piece of threaded pipe coming out of the purge solenoid, then clear hose fastened to the piece of pipe with a hose clamp- i got ALL of this from the local hardware store btw. then small black zip ties to route the line to where it purges over the windshield/hood. looks amazingly clean for the 10$ i spend on it- probably could've done it cleaner if i wanted to also if i took a ton of time doing it.

edit- i think the question asked, i used a small black zip-tie to the vent right below the wipers around the vent and the line, but not too tight to pinch the line. hasn't moved yet

You can buy 3/16" nylon clamps. (I'm not sure what you call them. They are like an adel clamp.) They are in the electrical dept. at the hardware store. Usually in the yellow Servalite selection boxes. They wrap around the tubing and when you put a screw through it to hold it in place it clamps the tubing in place. They come in other sizes also. It worked good on mine.

I used clear plastic pipe that used for you windshield washer system. It has a 3/16" ID (hole in it) and about 5/16" OD comes on a roll of about 4ft at your local auto parts store (Halfords in the UK) very cheap.

From a local auto parts store. It was $1.38 for 8 feet.

I used zip-ties to keep my purge line in place too.
