Jimmy jams switch

i just got my jimmy jam ash tray switch but i don't see what holds it in place, my be i am dumb. but the plate is flat with no tab to hold it down. i works great just need a way to mount it any help would be great thanks guys

Don't have an F-Body, but if it is flat and rest on top of something, try some double sided sticky tape, I used 3M Molding tape, availible in the auto body body section of most parts stores and WalMart.

mine was actually a little oversized so i just ground down the edges in certain places untill if fit perfect...it holds itself in there

Mine didn't fit well at all, i ended up pulling the switches out of it and throwing the plate away and making my own place for the switches.

well my ash try lid does not close right either, i don't know i am going to use it for now till i find some thing better. i can't make stuff like that my self just know how to fix stuff.
