You can set the Nitrous up on a Momentary switch only, and that sprays only when you press da butin.
You can set up like most kits recommend, having a WOT Switch (the throttle must be at WOT which presses the little switches arm, or completes the circuit if using a TPS) and also use an "arming switch" which can be a momentary or constant rocker. With this, you either go WOT and flip the switch, or flip the switch and once you go WOT the nitrous flows.
You can set up with either of those and a Window Switch which the WS adds a "no lower than" and "no higher than" rpm. You can arm the system, go WOT, but it wont flow Nitrous/Fuel until you hit the Low side rpm, and automatically stops the flow at the high side limit, once you shift, and the rpms come under the high side, it flows again, and continues like this until you turn the arming switch off or get off the WOT.
Does this help?

Yes you can do that type of activation. If your head didnt hurt, that would be line one of my previous post. Its called a Momentary Switch (yes I am sure he has a WOT Switch as well). There is no cool little gauge that climbs up showing "boost" when using Nitrous though, and quite a few other things. Bottom line yes you can use a switch on the wheel like that.

ok bro 1 forget everything you learned from that movie the best thing i can tell u is to have the kit put in by someone who knows what there doing. buy a window switch, puel pressure saftey switch, wide open throttle switch, and a bottle heater. have the shop put it all in for you and have them set the window switch for 3000-5800 rpm's and then all you'll have to do is arm the system and hit the gas all the way down to the floor. there is no momentary button to hold down enless you want it but for a new comer to n20 i would not suggest it.

I dont know if your asking this, but i think what you meant was "at what time during a drag race should you use n2o." the answer is very long and detailed and we discuss it alot but for a short little list. Dont spray before 3,000 rpms. Dont spray unless your WOT, dont spray while you press in the clutch if your manual, and dont spray past redline. Thats preatty much it. Spray whenever you want. This should not harm your engine if you follow thoose rules. You can go to the more extremes, like pre 3,000 rpm on points and power shifting once you spend alil more time here. Main thing is start learning why these rules exist then you'll know how to bend them.

For some reason I feel like I have been giving you way to much of a break. I gave you detailed answer, even though I know the FnF thing will get just about everyone on here in angst. Now you come back with wanting to spray while shifting! WTF? Are you trying to **** me off? Are wanting to toy around on the Nitrous Forum or see how far you can take things?

Go back to the nitrous forum, up top is a sticky with Nitrous FAQ's, which you obviously need to read and then if you do a search for FnF in this section I am sure you see everyone posting some stupid **** like that got flamed right off the bat. I was playing nice. Enough said.
