i had to get a 4AN line made to connect the two bottles and also an adapter for the larger bottle which is the same size adapter as the NOS 10lb blue bottle. that ran an extra $50 for both.
my first fill at 65-70* outside temp into a completely empty NOS 10lb bottle yielded 6-7 lbs. my scale might be off since the NOS empty is supposed to be 14.7lbs but the scale read 14.0lbs. anyway i got it up to 22.2lbs in less than 10 minutes.
my zex bottle which weighs 14.6lbs empty started at 17.8 since i had some in it. half hour later it's only at 18.8lbs.

does elevating the large bottle help in the transfer?

can i put a bottle that has say 2-8lbs of nitrous left into a freezer? i'm about to clear my frozen foods.
Does your mother bottle have a scifon tube? if not it needs to be upside down

Thats $4 a lb at best more like 4.30 so call around and find it cheeper.

I top off the bottle if empty then freeze it for 20-30mins and fill it.

If its more than half full a 20-30 min freeze and fill should do it.

Get a decent digital scale if you can swing it, and get 2 mother bottles at a time, saves trips.

(But it is 100+ degress in the garage got to love the desert)

we used to put the empty bottle in an ice chest full of water and ice. it worked out real well.
