Default New to nitrous!!

Hello all,
I have searched quite a bit and Im still not finding the exact answers to my questions. I am new to nitrous completely. I have a 02 Ws6 m6. I am looking to run a shot of nitrous. I dont want to go over a 100hp shot. I am eventually going to get a ms3 cam and some heads and that is the form the car will probably stay in until a turbo about 5 years from now. My questions are...What kit should I use? Should I use a wet or dry system? What about a plate system? I am trying to stay away from tuneing the car until my heads and cam swap.. O also the car only sees about 2500-3000mi a year... Any info and experiences would be great!!!!

Yeah, I am curious about this as well. I was thinking of adding a 100 shot to my car (mostly stock) and would like to know some basics.

100 shot is small enough to go with a dry kit if you want. but i'd go wet for the reason you can jet it up and go bigger when your crave eats you from the inside out. as for kit, choose what ever you want. the coldfusion is a nice kit since it's a single nozzle on the bellow of the air lid. i'm using a TNT kit becuase of the ring it comes with, i just like the way everthing centers out (just personal preferance.) like you said already your going to get the tuning later one with the head/cam...so that's something you know already.

just keep looking around the forum, all of your questions have been answered one time or another from different people.

i myself am still learning the in's and out's of nitrous so i can only help so far. but what ever you choose make sure to post up when you install it!!

A wet kit with all the saftey features sound like what you would want if you want to stay away from tuning you may need to pull timing though. If you can scan for KR you should do so if you dont see any you wont need any tuning with a wet kit.

oh yeah i also forgot about this one other thing, what's the price limits going to be. that's going to play a role on what kit you choose.

I believe the reply was to get you both 2002RamAir & WFOSS to look at the sticky about Nitrous FAQ's, and then use the search button. There is no definative answer, each has its pro's n con's, and is really a user based preference. If you want my answer, I suggest 2002RamAir get a Nitrous Dave's Wet Plate Setup, and WFOSS get Nitrous Direct Pro Dy Setup.
