Default Bottle difficult to open/close

Have a 15lb NX bottle, several actually. One of them is difficult to open/close, the remote opener wont even budge it
Is there a way to lubricate this thing?

Not sure on lubing the internals of the valve, oil and nitrous when compressed tend to do things like detonate. Even though your not talking that much lube, I would find an alternative, maybe some powedered graphite or something. If its newer bottle, just crank it open/close several times, might help "break" it in. I had an new NOS bottle, the nice powder coated metallic blue one, I had to repeatedly open/close for the valve to smooth out some. GL

I've had the same problem with one of my two NX bottles. I've noticed that the neck of that bottle right below the *** is a little thicker. It feels the same to open it by hand but my remote opener rarely works on it. Never use it anymore. Anybody want to buy a bottle?

don't use oil or penetrating lube, 1st hand ex here ! at my first job the regulator on the oxy axc were sticky and filthy so i pulled them off and cleaned and oiled them. thank god they were using a 100' hose on the torch and inside the building when it blew. yes I was fired

I was laughing b/c it reminded me of some stupid things I have done at jobs before. I had a job at a pipeline fab. shop & my third day there broke a 6 ton overhead crane. It cost them $1000 to get it serviced on site. They were pissed.

this may not be your problem but on my last 3 cars I used the nx bottle opener and had the same problems. I switched to the NOS opener and never had one problem.
