I bought a set of TR6's. $ in each box. 4 had the screw on tips and 4 had the permanent tips. I put about 500 miles on them and sprayed a 125 shot 3 times. After about a week after spraying I noticed multiple misses. I could tell it was on the drivers side so I pulled those plugs. They were the permanent tipped ones and the porcelin was cracked on all 4 plugs. I changed all of the plugs and went to Autolite 103 and haven't sprayed them yet. I won't put NGK plugs in anythig except my 4 wheeler.

I have had the TR6's in my car for a good 6 months and sprayed on them a full 15lb. bottle. Not a problem at all. Check your spark plug gapping! I also use NGK plugs on my ZX12 (170mph+) and Ive never had a problem out of them either. Maybe you have an issue somewhere else? Dont spray on Platinum plugs or you will cause detonation and damage your motor.

Im guessing your a m6 car lol. You shouldnt be even to tell a loss or a gain off a plug swap. On the cars that are having problems does anyone have a tune ? I have had mine for almost a 1/2 year and sprayed about 40 times and they still look good and i didnt lose any time on my Na runs

Mine was tuned 3 months ago. 1,500 miles and only 2 shots on plugs. No visable damage and was not fouled, they all looked fine. Put my TR55 plugs back in and it ran good. Put new TR6's back in and it runs good now but has a little rougher idle than the TR55's. We'll see how long these last.

Just got a tune, haven't sprayed yet. It's been hot in the midwest. I gap my plugs @ .038 for the bottle.

For a 100 wet shot, would i need to gap the TR6's at all? or are they good to go out of the box witha 100 shot?

Allways check the gap no matter what brand or # they are. As far as gapping I got away with gapping them at .040 on the 100 shot on a cam and bolt on car. When I bumped up to the 150 jets it was blowing the spark out over 1,000 psi so I gapped them down to where they were supposed to be at .035

If i remember correctly, i think i read somewhere to gap your plugs .036 to .038? Does this sound right for a 100 shot?
