Empty bottle..low TQ??

Default Empty bottle..low TQ??

After my nitrous install, we dynoed the car, and we didn't have a full bottle, so we used a near empty bottle, and I'm thinking my tq numbers are down quite a bit. This is a GTP St.2 heads, TR224 cam, and an NOS Wet plate kit, with an NOS progressive controller, and no bottle preasure.

Low bottle pressure will cause a drop in TQE and HP.
Spray at 1000-1100psi.

WHY spray with an empty bottle? even still, the curve seems to follow the stock one except at the beginning of the nitrous hit, which isn't a surprise considering next to no bottle pressure.

Might want to get your AFR under control as well. That will make the torque = crap, not enough fuel in there to build the power.

IIRC, NOS uses a bottle pressure of 950psi when calculating their jet sizing. Higher pressure may mean a little more power/torque but watch your a/f for going to lean.

We didn't plan to, I just didn't get a chance to fill a bottle before the car was finished, and the fill shop was already closed. When I go back with a full bottle, we'll be tweaking the AFR.

Dont take this the wrong way but I would be glad to have low bottle pressure during that run because It looks like you are running scary lean.

It's actually not near as lean as it looks. The air fuel gets to around 12.5 in the mid rpm and then ramps up to about 13.1. We'll be putting some fuel in it once we get a full bottle.
