Default How much do you spray out of the hole?

I want to know what people spray out of the hole and what it does for them?

I was thinking about spraying 150 shot out of the hole.........and basically just keeping the pedal from hitting the WOT switch until I'm rolling pretty good then going WOT at around 20-30ft out. I have 315 BFG's on 17x11 ZR1's.

200 then 100 .1 seconds later. Spray as much out of the hole as ur car can handle hookin! 60's on motor are usually mid 1.6's to low 1.7's, 60's on spray = 1.32's for the norm and some low 1.3's on the back tires if it's a total dead hook and she doesn't get out of the groove and start treckin one way or the other and I can stay in it!

So, are you wanting to spray out of the hole or no? You ask about it, but then say your waiting, which is not out of the hole *puzzled*

I used to hit 175-220 OUT OF THE HOLE. On NA runs would spin to 1.8's sometimes, but then hit it out of the hole and it would drop to 1.5-1.6.

Well I just finished the install and I have yet to spray it at the track. In fact, I went to the track today and ran with my car club in the car club challenge bracket but after I was eliminated they wouldn't let me do a time only. So I still haven't had the chance to spray this new setup.

I'm asking to see who does spray out of the hole and what times they run? That way I can guess how I will do and how many are ACTUALLY spraying there systems out of the hole.

I plan on hitting a Test and Tune up some time this week if I can find one and try it. We'll see what happens.

Jon, be careful of actually hooking on the bottle and splitting your Diff. GL, I'd start with a little 100 and bump by 50 if its successful.

Well, last year I broke my rear differentials short output shaft. Normally the long one is the one to go.

So I bought a DTE stage III rear differential with both output shafts hardened, the gears are hardened, the races are stronger, etc. So..............IMO, it should handle anything I can toss at it. It's not as good as a 9", but I'm kinda limited on that one aren't I.

Either way this rear end should handle the power.........on the other hand my input shaft that goes into the clutch/bell housing area isn't hardened and from what I hear is pretty much my next weak link since I have an M6.

So I'll run her untill she breaks and then get a new tranny.

Yeah if you got a good strong rearend and get those drag radials nice and hot you should be able to dump the whole 150 right off the line....

With zero suspension i used to drop the 150 shot (rated at wheels) so it was more like a 175 shot into the motor right off the line..... dead hooked to a 1.52 60'.....

With the new motor i'm going to run a 300 hit initially and have the FAST XFI put the other 100 shot stage thru it about 1 second downtrack (hopefully the front tires will be down by then )

i've had good luck spraying 100rpms ABOVE my converter's flash point. it flashes dead on to 3800rpms, so i have my window switch activate at 3900rpms.

if you watch my video (in sig) you can see in my first run i have the window switch at a conservative 4100rpms and it launches on motor then the spray hits. the last run on there it is at 3900rpms. i get about 10' out when the spray hits, which is about .5 seconds into the run . best 60' of a 1.55 but usually high 1.5' to low 1.6's depending on how hard i nail the gas pedal.

while spraying it out of the hole will help the et. ALOT, i don't think the drivetrain is worth it. now- if i had a th400/12bolt/driveshaft etc... damn right i'd hit it out of the hole

<<< Sprays tons, but my info really won't help answer your question as it should be specific to the vette guys. Very different setups there. I'd be careful as CAT said and start slowly.

O out the hole, I spray in second at 2600rpms, safer on that soft 10 bolt, that's a nice feature with the Zex Traction Control Window Switch, you can lock out what gear you do not want to spray in.

As soon as I can get my new differential done, I'm throwing 100hp shot out of the hole + the heads/cam setup Wonder how bad it can get?

Yeah........that's what Robert was telling me too. Basically I'm going to start with 100hp shot and work my way up till I can't get traction and tune it.

Maybe I'll end up with a progressive controller once wolfe gets some steele to start my damn cage.

I leave on the spray:
RPM: 6500
Nitrous: 250 shot - 25% initally -> 50% total 1st gear
60's: 1.40 +-.02
Clutch gets slipped like a big dog
