Default Looking for Nitrous encouragment...Reasuring remarks

I am SERIOUSLY thinking about spraying my car. I just don't want to hurt my motor. I have FULLY done my research on this. I would need window switch, plugs and a Fuel saftey switch. THe thing is I'm undecided between two kits. The sneeze/backfire scares me...

Zex advertises that they have a good METERING system that monitors fuel/nitrous pressures to give a 'purfect' mix everytime.

But I've been told that NX had top quality solenoids and hardware. I havent found a lot of acessories for the Zex kit, and the purple kinda bugs me. I DO want to do a FAST intake w/ this w/ the burst pannels for added security...

I just need some reasuring that it will be ok.... any advise? Which kit is more prone to sneeze/backfire, Dry or wet?

Wet.

I'd say if you're that worried about a backfire happening, get a dry kit.

Zex does not meter fuel/nitrous on the wet kit any more than any other set up does. It is all a marketing gimmic.

I'm glad I did it. still working out a few bugs, like putting in a set of tr6 plugs, and a window switch, I was bumping off the rev limiter. on a 125 shot. a little more traction would help. But I'm happy.
Just do it.

tuning is key...as long as your tune is good....you shouldnt hurt the motor.

id stay away from Zex. we pulled a Zex kit off my friends car to install a HSW kit and found a huge restriction in one of the lines...i couldnt beleive it. he had nothing but trouble with that kit from jump.

HWS? Never heard of them.

Think I'm abotu sold on the NOS dry kit due to it's simplicity. I forgot that Dry kits are available w/o DP... duh...

All I'd have to do is add a window switch and call it good.... and a tune...and plugs...

The NOS dry kit is a great starter kit and is very safe but you will come to find out that you want more from the kit after a year or more. I would go with a hsw kit not just cuase its a good kit but the guys are gret for help and they seem to always answer the phone. You will probably dump the fpss switch as they tend to cause problems. Don't over do it and she will treat you good.

I dunno, unless you need more than 225-250 the NOS 5177 will do just fine for a long time. You of course have to split the solenoids, but whatever. HSW does have some good service and tech, as does NX and Nitrous Daves, as well as Dynotune...all have some excellent relations with their specific customers, and those of us that use multi-company piece systems. And +1 on the no FPSS, such a PITA. I would dare to say 33% of the "help, went to spray and ...." trobleshooting posts are WS related.
