Are u Guys Spraying thru shift on Automatic
Well, here is my take on it...
Alot of it is in the tune. When STOCK, torque management pulls timing from mid-high 20s all the way down to negative numbers... I see -1 to -3 degrees timing at shifts on stock A4s. Personally, if the car is pulling that much timing and you are just spraying 150 or less I'd let her eat. I mean you are KILLING power at that point anyway, I don't see how it is ANY worse than torque management deletion on an N/A stocker, and tons of folks do that.
Now if I had stripped ALL TM out of a car, I would strongly advise against it. A nice high stall will help keep the shock off of the tranny as well.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is that personally I don't think this is a yes/no quesiton, I think it's a "depends on application" basis.
