Default Window Switch Help

Hello I was wondering, with an MSD window switch do you need to have both pills in for it work work ( Example 3000 -- 6000) Or can you just have one in and it will still work? Say if I had a 3000 in there would it activate anytime over 3000?

I wired everything up last night, everything works but the actual nitrous, warmer,purge both work, and they are wired off the same ground and power as the nitrous so Im guessing its something little.

I believe you have to have both pills in for it to work

Did you tape your wot sw down or go wot? Your 3000rpm will only come on at wot, so if ya tape the sw down then as soon as you reach 3000rpm it should spray cause you have wot signal.

I have the wot switch mounted on the TB so the blade hits in when WOT. I was asking if I need both pills in the MSD window switch for it to work or can I use just one so it comes on at 3000RPM's? Or does it need like 3000 and 6000 to make a complete circuit?


Also do I cut the 2 loops to run it in 4 cylinder mode or leave it in 8 cylinder? ive heard you are supposed to run it in 4 cylinder mode, whys that?

You should just need the 3000 I believe. Also, you can use a jumper wire to bypass the pills entirely, just make sure your lines are disconnected from engine. This way with the wot sw taped, you can turn car on at idle and just stick jump wire into activation slot and it should spray, if not wiring or a faulty ws. Is this the MSD digital?

Nope its not digital, but I do need to cut both loops to run it in 4 cylinder mode right? Could this be the problem that is stopping it from spraying because I did not cut them yet? Why would we want it in 4 cylinder mode? I will cut them 2nite and see if that works. I only have the 3000 pill in because I want it to spray through the shifts, the only option left is those 2 loops to cut to run it in 4 cylinder mode I guess.

Yep, cut them bad boys. that is your problem. you should still use a pill to shut down n2o even past your shifts (rev limit cuts fuel), what happens if you over rev?

I wanted too, but the majoirty of the people I talked too said to just spray through the shifts. I wanted to turn the nitrous off like 100 RPM's early and I still think I will...I have to go buy the pill for it though, they only carry them in packs of 5 for 30$ locally, no individual one so it kind of sucks to spend 60$ on 2 packs of 5. One of the packs has the 3000,3200,3400,3600,3800 in it...the other is 6000,6200,6400,6600,6800.

I cut the wires and will try it tonight to see what happens...I checked my wires 4x and everything is right

I would be one of those guys that says to spray through the shifts.

Wierdest thing ever...was leaving my girlfriends hoguse tonight and the car started getting multiple miss-fires..BAD. SES light was flashing...drove it for about 3 minutes, it stopped, has drove fine since then....? It drove fine all the way to her huse before that too...WTF? This was the first time something like this has ever happened with the car since I bought it 6 months ago? Mayabe a wire was working its way loose? I popped the hood during it freaking out and snugged all the wires on the packs, it didnt stop immideatly after but about 2 mins after it stopped? Im really hoping one of my 02 sensor wires that i just bought didnt fall onto the header Im gonna check out the car 2mmrw on a hoist before I even try spraying it...
