So the forged rods and crank don't play that big of a role?

The stock crank is fine but I would change out the rods since your already in there. Do it once do it right.

How much do want to spend. You can go as simple as a NOS Dry 5177, go wet with the NX EFI wet kit or go direct port. How far do you wanna go.... Either way, JUST SPRAY IT!!! I stock all sorts of kits for many different applications ..

I think I'm sold on doing a 150 dry shot. I'll go from there. Is there a huge difference between the wet and dry shot? Is the price difference worth it?

Read up on the differences between wet and dry. Search. You don't want to get a wet vs. dry thread started...they last forever and we never get a conclusion. They are both good. Dry kits spray only nitrous and let the computer add the extra fuel that is required. Wet kits spray nitrous and fuel at the same time. That is a pretty simple explanation, but you get the idea. Go with that 150 dry shot, I am sure you will be happy!

yeah wet vs. dry wars dont usually get anything accomplished. Nitrous is nitrous, look around and choose your method and (in the words of MXC) "get it on... "

From what i have seen, a stock LS1 can handle a 150 shot (set up properly of course) allllll day long.

Go for it!
