Default Amp draw through a MSD window switch

I'm troubleshoting some electrical issues on the C5.

I've noticed that after all the systems have had time to go into sleep mode, my amperage draw on the whole system is around 20milliamp. if I hook up my MSD window switch it draws around 150-160 miliamps itself.

should it draw any amperage when the system is completely off?

thanks

Larry

Just got off the phone with MSD tech support. He told me the window switch just grounds the circuit when in the appropriate rpm range. With the system off it shouldn't have any amperage draw.

this sound correct to you wiring gurus?

thanks

Yeah, the window switch just kills the ground, and should power on when the nitrous is activated.

Thanks guys

The window switch was wired to a direct battery lead. So it was always powered. Not sure if 150 milliamps is enough to kill a battery in a few days, but the window switch was definately my biggest draw on the battery when the car was powered down.

Do you guys run you window sswitches off a switched power source, or a direct fulltime power source? Seems like the WS woundn't need that kind of power connect.
